  • Compare and Contrast
America and Ancient Greece education are alike because they both teach the children something but in many ways they are completley different. In America kids go until they are 18 years old in Ancient Greece they go for only a few years. In Ancient Greee they learn the minimum and learn only what will get them through their life. Like America though they are able to continue with education but Ancient Greece only continue if they are wealthy enough for it. Also in America all teachers are paid. But both Ancient Greece and America they do have it so your parents can teach you but in Ancient Greece it is mainly for the girls and their mothers just teach them house chores while in America if you are home schooled you are still taught the subject that public and private schools teach. Also, in America you learn five subjects and in Ancient Greece they only learn three. In America all kids go to school no matter what their rank in society is or how much money their parents have. In America it does not matter what your social class is they base you on your age and put you in that grade, some kids have disablities that affect their learning so they will put them somewhere where they can get the extra help.
